Due to unforeseen circumstances, the "Amazing Grace Summer Preschool" will not be held during the summer of 2006.

The "Amazing Grace Summer Preschool" is a vital part of our presence in the Asylum Hill community. The preschool is held for three weeks during the summer, and enrolls approximately 45 children, ages 4-8. Many other children were placed on a waiting list.

Students are involved in activities which are designed to develop skills necessary to function socially, and enhance their academic and emotional development.

A routine day begins with a self selected activity, followed by a devotion, small group instruction, snack, creative language arts, creative playtime, lunch, quiet time, small and/or large group activity.

The field trips include walks through various parks in the Greater Hartford area, and story hour in Elizabeth Park.

The preschool teaching staff is comprised of dedicated, certified teachers, and teenage volunteers.
